Green Cards

When a person applies for an immigration visa, they do so intending to live in the United States, rather than individuals who seek non-immigrant visas, which allow the holder to stay in the country for a specified amount of time and for a specific purpose. A green card is another name for an immigration visa and legally recognizes the holder as a permanent resident of the United States.
