The reseach cites a higher birth rate, labor force participation, and the tendency of immigrants to start new businesses as key factors that could possibly raise the gross national product.
Not to mention, immigration reform will most likely include applications that are required to submit to USCIS with filing fees. These filing fees will most likely add millions of dollars if not more to the country’s reserve.
The committee of 8 Senators are expected to release their first draft of legislation this week assuming there are no further obstacles, the latest being a debate regarding compensation for unskilled immigrant labor.
